Co-founder and director, Chris Bliss, has worked across the retail and leisure sectors for the last 25 years, honing his skills in property management and development. Chris believes the commercial property industry needs to work in a more synergistic manner and established The Momentum Group to do just this:
“We work as four trading businesses; we advise, we build, we manage, and we maintain and we mainly do this directly in-house. I want to see a shift towards more of a cross-fertilisation approach in the industry and for these facets to work more holistically. Embracing technology is very much a part of this. Technology is the key to progressing the commercial property industry to propel growth with agility and simplicity.”
Chris and The Momentum Group had been getting by using spreadsheets to manage their operations, but the ongoing time and energy required to work in this way was holding back their aspirations for growth.

For many, the pandemic has been a wholly unprecedented challenge. However, while the COVID-19 crisis has undoubtedly tested The Momentum Group, it has also proven their resilience.
“We are focused on consistently doubling our growth each year. But never to the detriment of providing a high quality service. Resilience for us comes from the diversity we have with our 4 businesses and ensuring our client portfolios are varied. When retail locked down, we made sure to ramp into damage limitation so we were ready once it opened up. Forward thinking is key in this industry and technology and tools like Re-Leased enable us to plan for the future. COVID-19 highlighted, at breakneck speed, the need to work efficiently and embrace technology.”
